Roasted Strawberries 
With Black Pepper and Aged Balsamico

Roasted Strawberries 
With Black Pepper and Aged Balsamico

This only works if all the ingredients are pristine. Strawberries out of season, preground black pepper, and cheap industrial balsamic will compromise the dish.

Yield:

Serves 4 as a small side dish

Ingredients

  1. 16 strawberries
  2. Aged, high-quality, traditional balsamic vinegar
  3. Fresh cracked black pepper

Directions

  1. Place strawberries on a sheet pan and place in a 400˚F oven for 8 minutes until the juices run a little and the color darkens.
  2. Divide strawberries and arrange on a plate and sprinkle with just a little black pepper and a few drops of balsamic.
